Type 3 Squareback Interiorpanel Set

Interiorpanel Set for the Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback or Variant.
Sets avialable for all years of production 1962 to 1973.
 
The sets which need to be upholstered are available in 3mm Birch plywood or 3mm Oiltempered Hardboard, both waterresistant. The Birch plywood is far stronger then the Hardboard but some upholstery shops prefer to work with the hardboard.
 
All panels will have all the holes needed for the original clips, windowwinders, doorpullers, etc at the correct spot. All optional holes, like ashtrays and pockets, are pre-cut so they can be used if desired.
 
The sets which are installed with screws and washers can be left in wood and don't need to be upholstered. All they need is a finish. This can be paint, laquer, oil, wrap, etc as long as you protect both sides. A simple and great way to customize your aircooled VW without the need for an upholstery shop! Only the essential holes for the screws, doorpullers and windowwinders are cut, everything else is indicated at the back of the panels (not pre-cut!). Only available in 3mm Birch plywood.
 
Note that the 62-65 set also includes the black cardboard corner pieces that go besides the tailgate. In order to make them bend nicely into the corner, make them slightly wet and push them into place while wet. When they dry, they will stay in shape.
 
It's highly recommended to use decent installation hardware and plastic foils that go behind the panels. We offer several options regarding installation hardware;
 
No installation hardware. If you already bought it or use your own.
The minimum option includes just the correct clips/rubbers or screws & washer in the regular quality or 140 screws and washers.
The premium option includes everything you need to install the panel set in premium quality; the correct amount of clips and rubbers or 140 screws and washes, including plastic door foil kit (not with the screw mounted sets) and foam isolation parts for window winder and doorhandle. 
 
For the years 62-65 there will be 52 regular clips, 24 chrome clips (visible, for the rear panels and tailgate), 75 rubber grommets and 4 screws/washer.
For the years 66-67 there will be 80 regular clips, 40 chrome clips (visible, for the rear panels and tailgate) and 120 rubber grommets.
For the years 68-73 there will be 130 regular clips and 130 rubber grommets.
If you need anything in other amounts, please let us know before ordering.
NOTE; the chrome clips provided are the same ones used in Baywindow busses. These are made for 6mm holes while the original Squareback clips are made for 8-9mm holes. This means you will have to adjust the lips of the clips slightly to made them fit correctly. Unfortunatley the Baywindow clips are the only ones available at this point...
